Everything Bagel Croissants(and Stuffed Dates)

2-for-1 recipes are my favorite kind! Do the hard work once and reap the benefit multiple times.

These simple Everything Bagel Croissants and Stuffed Dates have the same, simple and delicious filling. I was inspired by my dear friend who owns a local incredible bakery. Her Everything Bagel Croissants are what my dreams are made of. My version is a bit more simplistic, and the filling can be used in multiple ways. I used it to stuff dates, but the same filling could easily be used inside a baked potato, bacon-wrapped jalapeno, or put inside a mini phyllo cup. These are so simple and so perfect for an appetizer, breakfast, or side to a big bowl of soup! Enjoy Ya’ll!

Filling:

Combine 1 container of whipped cream cheese with 1 container of Boursian Shallot & Chive spread. Thats it!

Everything Bagel Croissants:

  1. Roll out one sheet of croissant dough. I used the Pillsbury brand.

  2. Spread 1 cup of the cream mixture and spread evenly. Generously sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning.

  3. Cut into thin strips on the short side and roll up strips like a cinnamon roll. You should get 8-10.

  4. Place rolls into a muffin cup pan sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Prosciutto Wrapped Dates

  1. Pit 10-12 dates by cutting the side, opening the date, and removing the hard seed.

  2. Spread 1 Tbsp of cream mixture inside the date and press it back together.

  3. Wrap each date in a section of prosciutto folded in half on the long side.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 28 minutes and sprinkle lightly with flaky salt once removed from the oven. Allow them to cool so the molten hot cream mixture doesn’t burn the inside of your mouth! (Speaking from experience!)
