My Story
Sugar is in my blood. It’s what I know best.
I’ve been a dreamer since the beginning. I fell in love with the art of confections when my oldest was born. I was once described as a “renaissance woman, with buttercream, fondant, and whimsy being the tools of my decadent trade.”
In early 2017 I purchased Sugar Drop, a locally owned company serving Tennessee for over 50 years. After breathing new life into the business and brand, we relocated the shop in 2020 to a new and expanded location. We were a one-stop shopping experience complete with glitter floors, candy chandeliers, a full-service bakery, sweet-inspired retail items, and a beautiful event space where I hosted and taught thousands of students the art of sugar.
After 7 sweet years of ownership, it was time to hang up the apron. Owning a physical retail business is challenging, but we were so blessed to become friends with our community in the sweetest way imaginable.
So, what’s next? I’m an unemployed mom with a PhD in sugar. Some might consider me an expert, but my goal is to share this love and passion of mine with others. From sweet-inspired accessories and edible gifts to online classes and tutorials, I hope you consider me your sugar sister, here to cheer you on and help you make your corner of the world a bit sweeter.
